Caring & Sharing

Today was another awesome clinic day in a slum area only 11 KM from the city of Bhubaneswar. This school and prayer house is in an excellent location to serve the residents of this community and the many children who attend this school. The Care & Share Mission - Child Development Center or CSMCDC (for short) as it is called, was started over 15 years ago in this slum area. It now provides a very well organized and structured program for children ages 3 thru 18. These sweet children were our first patients this morning before we turned our efforts toward those in the surrounding village.

Today was another example of how a wonderful supporting cast makes our clinic operation run smoothly. The school provided older teens to assist with "traffic management" while our consistent team of translators (who have served with us each day) offered their usual stellar language support.

The CSMCDC derives most of their funding from the Compassion International organization. This strong support has enabled Rev. P.K. Mukharjee to build a sturdy and suitable facility for the school.

As a fitting end to a smooth day of medical clinic operations, pastor Mukharjee sent us off with a powerful prayer of support & blessing. His talented students sang a praise song to encourage us and thank us for our work in their community.

We are so blessed to have the priviledge of participating in this fabulous Kingdom work. God continues to use each team effectively and successfully on this mission. Today we were able to see over 700 patients bringing our total for Orissa to just over 3400 in 5 clinics days.
Be in prayer for us tomorrow as we work with the Bhuibaneswar Rotarians to support clinic in a rural region of Orissa.

We did have to pray extra hard for those Dallas Cowboys fans on our mission trip this morning as they awoke to learn of the fate of "Americas Team" in the NFL playoffs...
